DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday 20th May at 2.00pm  John Burton will be giving a talk on ‘Alison’s War’\, the Alison in question being Alison Evans and her journals about the First World War. \nAdmission is £5 with all monies going to the Mayor’s Appeal for the Heritage Centre.  There will be light refreshments and a chance to look around the centre especially the exhibition of local artist Michael Shepperson.  Many of his paintings are on display for the first time.Alison Evans

DESCRIPTION:Teej means 'third' in Sanscrit and refers to a group of Hindu festivals dedicated to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva\, celebrating the monsoon season and marital happiness.  Celebrated mainly by women and young girls.\nThe Heritage Centre is pleased to host an afternoon  featuring an eclectic mix  of Services and Stalls celebrating Teej.  Entry is free\,  Doors open 2.00pm and close at 6.00pm \n
