DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 21st January at 2.00 pm  Rob Everitt\, a Trustee of the Heritage Centre will be giving a talk on Charles Streather and the 216 Fortress Company also known as the 216 (Nuneaton)  Army Troops Company Royal Engineers.  Charles was a local man who went on to become Headmaster of the Higham Lane School and it was his daughter Beryl who\, many years later\, was instrumental in saving the Heritage Centre and founding the Chilvers Coton Centre Trust.  £5.00 per person including light refreshments.  It will be a very pleasant afternoon.

DESCRIPTION:Wednesday 18th February at 2.00pm\, local historian John Burton will present a talk on Alison Evans\, great niece of George Eliot\, daughter of the Rector of Bedworth Frederic Evans and is a story of 19th and early 20th century life in Bedworth seen through the eyes of young Alison.  There will be light refreshments served and all proceeds will go to the Mayor’s Appeal for the restoration of the Heritage C.entre.  Entry is £5 per person. a small fee for what promises to be a fascinating afternoon’s talk.
